Ferrotec’s Standard Thermoelectric Modules

Ferrotec offers a wide range of standard thermoelectric modules for cooling, thermal cycling and precision temperature control applications. Most standard Ferrotec modules are based on the 9500 series of thermoelectric modules. The 9500 series offers higher temperature operation it can be operated at temperatures up to 135°C for normal operation, and 200°C for brief periods of time. It is thermo-mechanically rugged and can be used in thermal cycling applications.

What is a thermoelectric cooler?

A thermoelectric cooler may refer to different things. While commonly referring to an insulated storage container that heats or cools by many in the general public, this terminology is actually drawn from the Peltier Thermoelectric Cooler Module, a solid-state device used as the temperature engine for the container.

At Ferrotec, we tend to use the term thermoelectric module in conversations, but you will also find other terms that reference these devices:
