Description

Works as part of the machine shop department taking direction from the shop supervisor and/or the group leader. Provides in-process inspection checks and documentation. Works closely with the shop Inspector and manufactures parts that meet or exceed Ferrotec’s workmanship standards. Standards include a high level of cosmetic emphasis on all piece parts manufactured within the machine shop. Provides labor transactions on the business operating system. May be required to have personal tools calibrated based on inspection/calibration policies. Safety shoes and safety glasses with side shields are required. Reports to the Machine Shop Supervisor.

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent. 12 years machining experience or combination of experience and technical school training

Description

Responsible for the overall integrity of the general ledger and various general ledger related activities. Prepares and reviews financial statements and company reports required for financial reporting, internally and externally, to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness. Assists the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance and Administration with overseeing accounting policies and procedures, internal accounting controls, and financial reporting. Assists other members of the accounting department and within the company in identifying/researching account transactions.

Supports the reporting initiatives of the Finance Department and the Organization and helps to insure the consistency of reporting between Oracle and other reporting tools. Reports to the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance and 7+ years general ledger experience.
  • Accounting background including General Ledger, AR, AP, account reconciliation, month end close activities, cost accounting and financial analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of sales and manufacturing functions.
  • Proficient in Windows –based PC software packages including spreadsheet and word processing (Excel and Word, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and proven problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and work independently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Preferred

  • Experience with Oracle R12 business software and various reporting tools.
